Your Eyes Aren’t Immune!

Did you know that exposure to UV radiation can permanently damage your eyesight?

Even a little bit of exposure can lead to cataracts and intraocular cancer, which is found in the eyeball and is caused by exposure to UV radiation. It is very possible to burn the cornea of your eye while tanning and not notice until 6-12 hours after the fact.

Crazy Statistics

Did you know that 30 million people tan in the US every year?

People who use tanning beds are 2.5 times more likely to develop Squamous Cell Carcinoma, 1.5 times more likely to develop basal cell carcinoma and have an increased risk of developing melanoma by 75%.

A tan may seem like a good idea and look great, but a tan is actually a sign of serious skin damage. Is getting a temporary glow really worth long-term damage, premature aging and the risk of skin cancer? When the risks outweigh possible benefits, it’s time to reconsider the indoor tanning issue.
